"The singularity of each of us dies under kilos of clothes, uniforms provided by corporations, more hip, more expensive. Misery is something we don’t know anymore. We are hidden behind a luxurious shield badly disguising our condition. We can’t see any longer. The reality is that fashion is a way to eradicate our misery, a terrible piece of shit which turn us into an army of ads. Nothing forces us to buy these clothes made by whatever corporation. Maybe it will help us getting recognition in the hip circles but we will never be more interesting with them, that’s sure. The cult of our looks kills our personality, our creativity and our spontaneity too often. People with a sense of simplicity help revealing these qualities since they are not taking part in this parade of clones celebrating a polished and normative culture."

"If I love punk-rock, that’s because it’s the only kind of music I know so far that try to criticize the capitalist standards and their consequences. Of course, punk-rock doesn’t refer here to that music made for MTV or this selling keyword selling clothes. It stands for heartfelt music, with no other end in sight than sharing, with a radical perspective and a will to stay out of the music business circles. Music and sounds don’t matter. It’s all about the process and everything that goes along. And I am more and more happy to know bands or musicians not following the basic punk schemes in terms of sound but keeping its seed. I don’t feel at ease with some bands that use the DIY scene as a way to get some recognition then deny the way it works when they’re a bit bigger. Or people who don’t care about anything and still act the same, propagating the mainstream’s ills – success, profit, good looking, etc. If I heart punk, it’s specifically because we can different. When I see a band cashing in on the latest trend, trying to become big after playing together for six months and using advertisement, street teams, money given the institutions, I laugh out loud but still feel eager. Is that so important to have a deal on a label or to have some cool clothes to make music? I honestly I don’t think so. That’s why punk-rock is different from ‘rock and roll’. We don’t care about being cool or becoming a rock star. What is important is to be yourself, assuming who you are and not having to hide yourself behind an image."
