"At the peak of human stupidity and a hypocrisy badly hidden, without any embarrassment, images of acceptance and tolerance are sold to us. Behind them, I can’t see anything but a great discomfort. Our sexual lives are far from being liberated from centuries rejecting the sexualities other than the predominating heterosexuality, putting homosexuals, bisexuals, and transsexuals in the position of heathens, freaks for whom love is not tolerated. Their existences themselves are prohibited – the different levels of acceptance depend on the eras. We can create all the television and radio programs possible, organize as much parades and demonstrations we can, setting zillions of fashions and promulgate bills on sexual discrimination, it won’t stop the uneasiness. Too many ills to cure, too many rules to give up on and instincts to stifle in order to make this sexual freedom I would love to see a reality. These pointless tricks will not erase the omnipresent latent homophobia from our minds; the same that consumes every day this tolerance that we are all talking about and that I have never even saw the shadow. So please stop to plague your mouth with these words tarnishing love, your ears full of whispers and your eyes crying out the frustration aroused by the ones living this love hidden for so long. The only progress comes with our daily acts and not an annual realization, with rainbows and techno music to express publicly our commitment and feel good with our conscience. The rest is nothing but non-sense in comparison to the vain and primitive reactions that we can experience the rest of the time. Morals change but not by themselves."

"It is hard to realize how much homophobia is present in our lives… Our intercourses – with both boys and girls – are full of it. And it is often more difficult to detect its influence than we would like to believe. For instance, how can one be integrated as a ‘man’ without showing off any signs of masculinity? Or how can one be perceived as a ‘woman’ without being seductive and open? Of course, these are two examples out of a hundred, a thousand… But they trap us into roles of man and woman. It would not be a problem if everybody got along with this basic dichotomy of the sexes. But it is easy to realize that nobody is fundamentally a "man" or a "woman". Human beings are more complex than this. Each of us might want to do something assigned to a gender or another. But most of the times we will hide them, bury our desires deep into ourselves fearing rejection, isolation, to be considered as a freak... From these fears come sufferings. Whether we try to deny these desires or assume them and live them openly, the sufferings will stay the same... Because of those bad looks... Because of the minds closed. To deconstruct the roles we are forced to play is not an easy thing, I know that. But we would be so much happier and liberated if we could live with freedom and respect for everyone, our desires, our loves, our sexuality."

"The assimilationists policies reclaimed by a relative big part of the mainstream gay community in France are asking for equality in law. The heterogeneity of our sexualities and the multiplicities of our lives are denied to let the necessary space to an institutionalized tolerance where everyone is a citizen, just like anyone else, with no specificity or his- / herstory. The critics of heterosexuality (as a political system) or the questions on patriarchy will never be heard since they are not positive for the capitalist model. Major medias have heard the demands of representation. If the spaces given to the queers in the medias are more important, it’s still focusing on the white ass, rich and masculine gays – invicibilizing the other ‘minorities’ and not giving any impact to the questions asked on genders. The representations of the gay community in the medias are explicit about the modelization as a potential marketing target. As long as the basis of this society and the cultural products that are genders, sex and love – as well as race and class - won’t be critically viewed, I won’t believe in any achievement in terms of social justice."
